Rallies 2006.

We had a small gathering from 27th Dec 2005 to 1st Jan. 2006.
A very good time was had by all.
A  pub meal and then at Midnight a very good firework display. For New
year  celebrations.

The  Rally  in January.: This was held on the outskirts of Leicester.
We called this the  Blue Nose Rally. Due to Very Cold weather. Saturday was
spent with those who were capable went and enjoyed Clay Pigeon shooting.
The afternoon was spent resting due to bad weather.

The Rally  in February. Was in Huntingdon. Saturday was spent with most
people going  around shops.
In the evening we all met up and went for a very nice meal in the local Mill
restaurant Food was fantastic

The Rally  in March  was held at A very nice site near Banbury.  As is the
norm every body did their own thing Friday evening and during the day
Saturday.  On Saturday  evening we all met up in the local pub for a drink,
chat and a general get together.
A big welcome to the new family that came to the rally and we hope you had
a good time.  Weather was changeable but the weekend went very well.

The April Rally  was held in Stratford upon Avon.. A great site by the river.
Most went shopping via the river boat over the weekend. Some decided it
was good enough to go canoeing on the river. Well done to Clint and Mark
who braved the conditions.

The May rally was held in the Kings Lynn area.
Very wet under foot but still a nice site and a very friendly site owner.
Thanks to jeff for the bit of excitment. Hope you are very much better jeff.
A good bank holiday weekend was had by all in the long run.

The Rally in June was held on the outskirts of Chatteris..
Nice little site with plenty of trees to keep you under the shade. Many
thanks go to the site  owner John who supplied everyone with adapters so
they could all hook up and then provided some  very delicious cakes for
the get together Bar.B.Q which was held on the Saturday evening.
Welcome to the  couple of new comers to this rally and we hope you had a
good time and we will  see you again on future rallies. There was even a
nice little steam rally going on in the next  village.
On the Sunday for the coffee Morning once again the site owner joined in
and provided sausage rolls and chicken wings to go with the tea and
coffee and biscuits. Everyone seemed to have  had a good time.

The Rally for July started off badly..I was looking for the site and it wasn't to
be found. So we phoned. It was then that we  were told that it was now
closed. They had gone bankrupt. so panic stations and after a short ride
around. a site was found but he could only take 4 units with electric.
He then recommended us to another,he also phoned and booked the 7
units onto a site which was very good. The ice cream was really great.
Weather was fantastic. Some had a whale of a time with their kites. Others
had a good time hiding in the shade.
A joint barby was held on the Saturday evening. Plus plenty of drinks were
available .Hope everyone had a safe and pleasant trip home

Also in July few members met up  and went to a country and western
weekend. Held in Wolverhampton. A fantastic time was had and  it was a
brilliant weekend.

The August Rally to Cotswolds View, was a bit disapointing, but am afraid to
say i can't do anything about the weather.
I can and will say sorry for the amount of traffic going back and forth. For
the kids who think it is fun to run and scream at the top of their voices and
also for the people who for some unknown reasons make it their duty to go
the bottle bank at between 06.30 and 07.00 to throw their bottles away..
but i do hope all had a good relaxed weekend when it went quite.Look
forward to seeing you at Barnstones where things will be very much more
peaceful.

The September Rally to Barnstones went well
but it was a dissapointing turn out..
The weather was something else..
The AGM meeting started well but during the meeting all the power in half
of the village was turned off due to a sub station blowing a fuse.. But the
power was in fact  turned off right through to Sunday Lunch time. I have
been told even the Church Organ had to be hand pumped through the
morning service.
Points for the AGM.
The meeting reformed in the local pub, where there was light......!!
Clint  Hickman. resigned as chairman but took over as treasurer,  being as
Roger Palmer resigned the post.
Mark Kirk was nominated and accepted as the clubs NEW chairman.. Bill
Hickles remains as Rally secretary and Carol Fraser remains as Secretary &
Newsletter Editor,
also a new member onto the committee comes Ken Platt.
So a big thank you for those who have left for the work they did. and a
warm welcome to those who have joined the committee in what ever form
you are co-opted into.

October Rally.
We had 5 names to go on this rally..
One has just come out of Hospital after an operation.
One will be going into Hospital 2 days before the rally to have an operation.
One has now  got unforseen  work commitments.

it was at this stage the Rally was cancelled and the site informed..

November Rally.
What can i say. This weekend was absolutely fantastic. Brilliant,
the weather was very good.  Those who  went clay pigeon shooting had a
ball.
Those who went off to wander round the local towns and markets had a
great time.
Saturday night. Went very, very well indeed.
The food was as always brilliant, the fireworks were out of this world..
Wonderful  Show Gary, well done..
A really fantastic show..
Sunday morning once again a nice sunny day.
the coffee morning with raffle went great and was complimented by
sausage and bacon rolls..
Which saved a few people cooking breakfast.
This was once again a brilliant weekend and certainly went off with a bang.
